Large Ornate Silverplate Footed Serving Tray or Riser, Late Victorian/Edwardian

This large silverplate tray carries the language of the late Victorian to early Edwardian period—ornate, considered, and made to be both useful and seen. The border is richly detailed with scrolling motifs and soft curves, flanked by integrated handles and raised gently on feet, giving it presence beyond the tabletop.

The surface tells its story plainly. There is visible silver loss across the top, with warm undertones emerging beneath, alongside scratching and age throughout. It has not been polished back to perfection—and that is precisely where its character lives.

Unmarked, though consistent with silverplate in both weight and wear.

Substantial in both scale and weight, measuring approximately 24 inches handle to handle, around 14 inches across, and standing about 1.5 to 2 inches high with the feet. It carries a solid presence at approximately 8 pounds.
