Processing Time

Orders are typically processed within 7–10 business days after full payment has been received.

When possible, orders may ship sooner. Each piece is handled individually and prepared with care, and processing times may vary depending on the nature of the item.

Shop of Old does not ship on weekends.

At times, processing may be extended due to travel for estate sourcing. Any delays will be noted on the website.


Shipping Location

Shop of Old ships within the United States only.

We do not offer international shipping under any circumstances.

Orders placed with non-U.S. shipping addresses may be canceled at our discretion.

Buyers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate U.S. shipping address at checkout. Shop of Old is not responsible for delays, loss, or misdelivery due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.


Fraud Protection & Restricted Addresses

Due to the nature of our business and prior fraudulent activity, Shop of Old does not ship to freight forwarding companies or reshipping services.

Orders identified as high risk by Shopify or our payment processors may be canceled at our discretion.

Any non-refundable payment processing fees associated with high-risk or fraudulent transactions will not be reimbursed.

This policy is in place to protect both the business and our customers.


Shipping Method & Handling

All items are carefully packaged using appropriate materials, with special consideration given to fragile, antique, and one-of-a-kind objects.

Shipping carriers are selected at our discretion based on the item’s size, weight, and destination.

Tracking information will be provided once the order has shipped.

Our priority is not speed, but safe arrival.


Shipping Insurance

Shipping insurance is included on all items purchased through our website, covering the full value of the item, including shipping costs.

Each piece is shipped with care and fully protected in transit, offering coverage for both the buyer and Shop of Old in the event of loss or damage.


Signature Confirmation

Shop of Old reserves the right to require signature confirmation for high-value shipments.

By completing a purchase, the buyer agrees to accept and coordinate delivery accordingly.

Failure to receive or sign for a package is the responsibility of the buyer.


Shipping & Fulfillment

All orders are considered fulfilled once transferred to the shipping carrier.

While each piece is packed with care, Shop of Old is not responsible for delays, loss, theft, or damage once a package is in transit.

Should an issue arise, we will guide you through the carrier’s claims process.

Refunds, if applicable, will be issued only after the carrier’s review is complete and reimbursement has been received by Shop of Old.


Damage, Loss & Claims

In the event of damage or loss during transit, Shop of Old will handle the claims process directly with the shipping carrier.

To properly file a claim, the following documentation is required:

  • Clear photographs of the item
  • Interior packaging
  • Exterior packaging
  • Shipping label

All packaging materials must be retained until the claim is fully resolved.

Damage or loss must be reported to Shop of Old within 24 hours of delivery. Failure to report within this timeframe or to provide the required documentation may result in denial of the claim.

This information allows us to advocate on your behalf and submit a complete claim to the carrier.

Refunds, if applicable, will be issued only after the carrier has completed their review and approved reimbursement. As these claims require investigation, processing times may vary, and we kindly ask for your patience.

Should a claim be denied, Shop of Old will make every reasonable effort to appeal the decision and pursue a fair resolution.


Shop of Old is Not Responsible For

  • Packages marked as delivered
  • Theft or loss after delivery
  • Delays caused by the carrier or external factors

Buyers are encouraged to ensure a secure delivery location.


Shipping Delays

While every effort is made to ship within the stated timeframe, delays may occur due to:

  • Carrier disruptions
  • Weather conditions
  • High shipping volume
  • Travel for sourcing inventory
