A charming vintage trio of miniature English sporting plaques by Stevens of Coventry, England, each depicting a different moment in the traditional English hunt.

This complete set includes the titled scenes Berwick Hunt, Tally Ho, and The Death, creating a sequential sporting narrative inspired by the celebrated hunting compositions of British artist Henry Thomas Alken. Alken’s lively equestrian scenes became some of the most recognizable sporting images of nineteenth-century England and were later adapted by Stevens into decorative wall plaques.

Originally known for their celebrated Victorian woven silk “Stevengraphs,” Thomas Stevens later reissued many of their classic sporting subjects as printed decorative plaques during the mid-twentieth century. This set was likely produced during the 1960s–1970s and retains its original titled backs and brass wall hangers.

Small in scale but full of character, these plaques display beautifully together above a writing desk, bookshelf, gallery wall, or within an equestrian-inspired interior.
