A wonderfully preserved set of five vintage days-of-the-week kitchen towels, each decorated with colorful hand-embroidered scenes celebrating the rhythms of an old-fashioned week at home.
The set includes Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Monday and Saturday are not present.
Each rectangular towel features colorful woven stripes running along the long edges, with cross-stitch detailing and a different embroidered motif positioned near one end. The illustrations are particularly charming—from Sunday’s floral armchair to Wednesday’s sewing notions and Thursday’s overflowing market basket.
The five towels depict:
- Sunday — floral armchair and footstool
- Tuesday — ironing
- Wednesday — sewing notions
- Thursday — market groceries
- Friday — cleaning
The fabric remains remarkably crisp and clean, and the embroidery retains beautiful color. These appear to have seen very little use, although their previous history is unknown.

Condition
Excellent vintage condition overall. The towels remain crisp and clean with bright, intact embroidery and appear to have seen little, if any, use.
The Tuesday towel has one small, minor spot/stain. Otherwise, no notable staining has been observed.
Monday and Saturday are absent from the original seven-day sequence; this listing is for the five towels shown only.
