Vintage Brass & Glass Inkwell | Ornate Art Nouveau Style Desk Inkwell
$58.00 USD
An ornate vintage brass and glass inkwell with elaborate floral and scrollwork detailing inspired by Art Nouveau designs.
The substantial cast brass base features flowing botanical decoration surrounding a removable square glass inkwell. A coordinating decorative brass lid completes the piece, giving it wonderful presence as a vintage desk accessory or decorative object.
The underside is marked “Made in Taiwan, R.O.C.” This marking identifies the piece as a vintage reproduction and not a period Art Nouveau antique. We believe it dates to the mid-to-late 20th century based on its construction and country-of-origin marking, though an exact production date is unknown.
The brass has developed an aged surface and patina consistent with vintage use. No attempt has been made to polish the piece, preserving its existing character.
