Pair of Vintage Italian Toleware Lidded Urns | Neoclassical Lion Handle Pedestal Urns

A striking pair of vintage Italian toleware urns with wonderful Neoclassical character and beautifully aged presence.

Finished in an unusual olive-green tone with contrasting black details, each urn features classical floral decoration, lion-mask ring handles, a removable pointed lid, and an elegant pedestal base. The aged painted surfaces give the pair the layered character that makes vintage Italian toleware so distinctive.

Standing approximately 12 inches tall, these have enough scale to make an impact. Display them together on a mantel or console, flank a collection of artwork, or separate them across a room for a wonderfully collected look.

Condition

Vintage Italian painted metal construction. Both are marked Made in Italy on the underside. Age-related surface wear, patina, and variation to the painted finish are present throughout. One lid has slight paint loss, with additional minor paint loss and wear around some of the lion-mask detailing. Minor discoloration is also present consistent with age and previous use. Please review all photographs closely as they form an important part of the condition description.
