English Old Sheffield Reproduction Silverplate Creamer & Sugar Bowl with Dragon Handles
A beautifully detailed English silverplate creamer and open sugar bowl, richly decorated with grape clusters, curling vines, and sculptural dragon-form handles.
Both pieces feature rounded bodies raised on stepped pedestal bases, with an elaborate grape-and-leaf motif extending around each vessel. Their distinctive handles rise in graceful curves, terminating in finely detailed dragon or serpent heads above the rims.
The creamer features a gently formed pouring spout and a single figural handle, while the coordinating sugar bowl is finished with two matching handles. Together, they make a striking pair with a wonderfully theatrical quality.
Both pieces bear an English maker’s device alongside the markings “Old Sheffield Reproduction,” “E.P. on Copper,” and “Made in England.” They are vintage reproductions inspired by historic Sheffield silverware, made with electroplated silver over a copper base rather than solid sterling silver or period Old Sheffield plate. The maker’s device is visible, although a definitive manufacturer attribution has not been established.
Whether returned to the table or displayed among a collection of antique silver, these pieces bring beautiful detail and old-world character to a collected home.

Styling & Display
These are lovely additions to a traditional tea service, particularly when paired with antique silver, vintage china, and a collected assortment of serving pieces.
Their dramatic handles and richly decorated bodies also make them beautiful beyond the table. Use the open sugar bowl to hold small wrapped sweets, place the creamer among old silver on a dining-room sideboard, or display the pair together on a mantel or in a cabinet.
The contrast between their polished surfaces and deeply detailed ornamentation makes them especially striking alongside dark wood, old books, and traditional English interiors.
Condition
Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear. Both pieces exhibit light scratching, polishing marks, minor patina, and areas of subtle discoloration consistent with age and previous use.
The silverplated surfaces remain bright overall, and the decorative details and figural handles present beautifully. Minor variations in the finish and signs of wear should be expected with vintage electroplated silver over copper.
Both pieces retain their underside markings. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition description.
