Antique Flow Blue Butter Pats with Silverplate Master Butter Knife | Set of Five
Five tiny survivors from an old table, collected together with an antique silverplate master butter knife. Each approximately three-inch butter pat is decorated in richly flowing cobalt-blue floral and foliate motifs, with the characteristic softened edges and movement of antique flow-blue decoration.
No two have aged quite the same way. Crazing, staining, worn rims, old chips, and even an early repair remain visible—evidence that these were tableware meant to be used rather than tucked untouched inside a cabinet. Each pat also bears a blue underglaze mark on the reverse, though age and the flowing glaze make the individual marks difficult to decipher.

Styling & Display
Perfect for a collected blue-and-white table, these little dishes don't need to return exclusively to butter duty. Stack them beside antique ironstone, scatter them across a table for salts or condiments, or use them as tiny catchalls for rings and other small treasures.
Together with the long silverplate butter knife, they also make an especially charming addition to an old-fashioned breakfast or supper table—the sort of small, useful objects that make a table feel collected rather than coordinated.
Condition
Authentic antique condition with considerable evidence of age and use. All five butter pats exhibit varying degrees of crazing, staining, discoloration, glaze wear and rim chipping. One pat has a more substantial chip along the outer rim, and another has an old crack that appears to have been historically repaired. The silverplate butter knife exhibits expected surface scratching, wear and patina and is unmarked.
These pieces are sold as found and as shown. Their imperfections are part of their history; please review all photographs carefully before purchasing.
