The frame is approximately 1 1/4" thick.  The image itself measures approximately 5 x 7 inches and retains the warm, softly toned paper that only age can produce.

The reverse of the page includes a story titled “A Devoted Mother,” recounting a touching tale of a cat and her kittens being rescued from a burning house. This text on the reverse confirms the print’s origin as a book illustration and adds an additional layer of historical interest and storytelling.
